ABOUT M Singh
M. Singh, a self-taught artist born in 1979, completed a Bachelor of Commerce before fully dedicating himself to his art. Known for his semi-abstract style, Singh has become a prominent figure in Mumbai’s art scene. His vibrant use of color and powerful brushstrokes create moods that shift between meditative and exuberant, reflecting his philosophy that painting is both his meditation and path to self-discovery. Working in both abstract and figurative styles, he uses colors to represent life’s phases, finding tranquility in the expressive process. Inspired by the chaotic beauty of Mumbai’s slums, Singh’s works embody a deceptive simplicity, inviting viewers to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
Singh has exhibited widely, with notable showcases including the 2019 Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, the Navya Naveli Art Exhibition at the Indian Habitat Centre in Delhi (2019), and the Singapore Art Fair at Art Houz in 2018.
