One can find an aroma of affinity and affection for the home land in the works by artist Kandi Narsimlu. The artist in a very stylistically rich manner celebrates the many moments and episodes from his village in his work. He recreates them on his canvas keeping the unpretentious and natural attractiveness of the village folk intact. The works exemplify group of women and at times men engrossed in their mundane acts of work and recreation. There is a certain quality of stillness and immobility in the works which emanates a sense of calm. The artist recalls the local Goddesses of his village and grants to the women in his works skin colour and tones akin to them. The artist fondly remembers his village people and adorns them with every possible detail. He rejoices their peculiar characteristics along with their traditional and age old fashions which he states have gradually started to fade away. He treasures his village close to his heart and in reminiscing and recreating it in his work he never loses hold on its aesthetic charms.
